EyeRelief for Desktop

20-20-20 eye care that lives in your menu bar.
Free, private, offline.

A calm, focused desktop utility

EyeRelief is a lightweight macOS utility designed to protect your eyes during long screen sessions. Built around the clinically backed 20-20-20 rule—every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds—the app gently reminds you to step back from your display and guides you through short eye exercises proven to reduce the symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome.

The app lives quietly in your menu bar and only steps in when it is time to give your eyes a rest. No accounts. No cloud services. No tracking pixels. Just a simple, focused tool that helps you stay comfortable and perform better throughout the day.

Every break begins with one of ten unique guided eye exercises. Follow a smooth, animated dot as it moves across your screen in carefully designed patterns. After the guided portion, you spend 20 seconds looking at something far away—giving your eyes the full reset they need to recover.

EyeRelief runs entirely on your Mac. Your preferences are stored locally and never sync to external servers. The app does not incorporate analytics, crash reporters, or third-party SDKs that communicate with remote endpoints.
